Joanne Mitten, MHE
Director of Research, joined Clearwater Research in 2004. Joanne
received her Masters in Health Education from Idaho State
University. She served as the Health Promotion Bureau Chief with the
Division of Health, Idaho Department of Health and Welfare from 1986
through 2003, performing management, development, administration and
evaluation duties. Her background in basic and applied research and
evaluation has made her a primary source for both program and
contract planning, development, evaluation, and monitoring for both
state and national groups. As the Director of Research, Joanne is
responsible for all research activity. She brings her experience and
skills in leadership, management, and research to Clearwater in a
vital and dynamic role, developing new strategic initiatives while
bringing strength and continuity to our existing programs.
Michael Willmorth, Ph.D.
Senior Study Director, joined Clearwater Research in 1996. He received
his master's degree from the Annenberg School for Communication
and a Ph.D. in communication from the University of Pennsylvania.
Michael has worked as a social scientist and faculty member at the
University of Pennsylvania, the University of Wisconsin-Parkside,
the University of Tulsa, and Albertson College of Idaho. He was
previously employed in Boise as Research Associate at the Social
Science Research Center at Boise State University. At Clearwater
Research, Michael oversees research staff working on public sector
projects. He conducts social program and public policy research,
consumer and employee satisfaction surveys, and public opinion polls.
